The City of San Diego has a number of skate parks
This city has everything from the largest skatepark in San Diego County to some of the best skateparks in the region. The 7 skate parks within the San Diego city limits are great whether you're a native SanDiegan, just moved here, or just passing through.
AKA Bill and Maxine Wilson Skatepark, Memorial Skatepark was dedicated to Bill and Maxine Wilson in 1992.

There are 22000 square feet of skating surface, along with railings, stairs, a 10-foot keyhole, a 90-foot snake run, and a beginners bowl. Providing space for both advanced and beginner skaters, the park can accommodate both groups.
It is perfect for people living or staying in Memorial, Barrio Logan, Grant Hill, Logan Heights, Sherman Heights, Stockton, Southcrest, Mount Hope, Mountain View, and Shelltown.
In 2008, Carmel Valley Skate Park opened with 13500 square feet of skateable space and a challenge course. Urban elements such as railings, stairs, banks, and ledges provide skaters with great tricks. This park, unlike many others nearby, has night lighting and allows the area to remain open after dark.
Among the amenities on-site are restrooms, a shade structure, and a sitting area for non-skating friends.

It is an above-ground park that has about 7000 square feet of space. A former District 4 Councilmember was instrumental in helping the park to gain approval and open back in 2005. While there are bleachers for parents or friends to watch, the viewing area seems more geared toward beginners.
This park features a picnic area, a walking path, and even some equipment for public use (with identification, of course). In addition to skateboards and helmets, skaters can rent knee pads, elbow pads, and elbow pads.
Linda Vista Skateboard Park
As of January 2018, this is the largest skate park in San Diego. It lies within Linda Vista Community Park. Jumps, benches, rails, stairs, ramps, ledges, and banks are available to fit the skill level of every skater. Several bowls, a street course, a full pipe, and lights are also available.
The bridge serves as a viewing location for the skaters as well as the focal point of the park. Observation areas and shade structures are available to non-skaters as well. The park was created as part of a citizen-based signature campaign in 2013. During the campaign, skaters, skating professionals, and the community backed the Friends of Linda Vista Skateboard Park.
2018 marked the opening of San Diego Park de la Cruz Skate Park, which is 19300 square feet in size. Skaters can focus on street plazas with gaps and rails, street plazas with flow features, banks and transition ramps, and flow bowls with spine ramps.
Also, skaters can enjoy the park's signature mid-city ramp feature, beginner gap, rail, and backyard-style pool, along with stairs, railings, and ledges. Lighting for sports and skateparks is paired with seating and views so that both skaters and non-skaters can enjoy their time here. A team of skateboard professionals and City Heights-Mid City community members discussed the design of the project in 2007.
Rancho Penasquitos Skate Park
The Rancho Penasquitos Skate Park was renovated in July 2014, and it now offers 22000 square feet of concrete skateboarding space. The multilevel skate plaza includes a four-step handrail, a grind box, a bank ramp, and a variety of other street-styled features. A high to low banked hip, a double-sided hubba grind ledge, a banked hip with a gap, an SF-styled Pier 7 manual pad, an angled manual pad, and generous staging/seating are also included.
It's full of transition ramps, euro gaps, grind rails, quarter pipes, pole jams, and so many other features that will satisfy skaters of all skill levels. Moreover, four new shade structures are available for friends and family so they can watch without getting overheated.
Robb Field Skate Park
The park is 40000 square feet and offers skating opportunities for skaters of all skills, ages, and goals. An octagon volcano, ledges, blocks, ledges, and handrails are part of the street course design.
